Basic Utility Vehicles (BUVs) will facilitate trade and sustainable development throughout the developing world.  We aim to utilize the following principles in serving BUV users and the hundreds of independent BUV micro-factories.

Values and Ethics:

  • People are more important than anything we possess, create, or see in the world.

  • We strive to follow the Golden Rule - treat others as you want to be treated.

  • We strive for servant leadership - we will lead in the way we serve

  • Our business dealings are to be above reproach.  At all times, we will conduct ourselves in an honest, professional manner with associates, customers, and suppliers.

  • We will pay our own way.  We will avoid awkward situations by addressing them in advance.  We will not bribe or accept bribes.

  • We will protect the property and assets of IAT and others.

  • We will forgive when others fail and we will ask for forgiveness when we fail.

  • The journey is just as important as the vision.  The end does not justify the means.

  • We are open to suggestions on this document, as well as anything that we do.  We highly value feedback and constructive criticism.

  • We will communicate all policy violations to management.

  • We will not work under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.
