Chinese businessmen notify IAT of their intention to manufacture BUVs in China. First Annual BUV Design Competition will be held on May 26 near Indianapolis (Brazil, IN).

IAT learns of BUV development at a US manufacturer and tours their facilities. IAT announces plans to move to larger office and co-locate IAT prototype shop. IAT re-designs web-site (on-going); staff receives high-speed internet access.

IAT staff attend the International Auto Show in Detroit. IAT staff receives BUV marketing research projects from Ohio State, Clemson, Northern Arizona University, and Grand Valley State University.
