Bishop Jeune has oversight of over 200 pastors, several orphanages, a medical clinic, as well as a hospital under construction. There are currently about 20,000 people on his multi-acre compound in Carrefour, Haiti in need of housing, food & water, and more.

Since the earthquake, Grace International has requested information about ordering some BUVs for relief and recovery work in the months and years ahead for Haiti. U.N. spokeswoman Elizabeth Byrs says, "Trucks are needed [in Haiti], especially small trucks because the streets are extremely congested" (USA Today 1/27/2010).
BUVs could be vitally useful with immediate relief work in the distribution of food and water and transporting the injured. Our goal is to be sure many BUVs are in Haiti for the long-term recovery work that will be needed for many years. Presently, our partners in Haiti have 17 BUVs. BUVs were made for such a time as this. Pray that these BUVs are used mightily as a testimony of God’s Grace for these people in need. We are praying for funding that enables BUVs to serve many relief organizations and more ministries like Grace International.
Most relief work is being offered in Port-au-Prince, not in Carrefour which is 10 miles east of the capital city. Thousands are living outside where the their living conditions will become more challenging in time.
By God’s grace, we played a significant role in negotiating a working relationship between the Humanitarian International Services Group based in Colorado and Grace International. HISG plans to use the compound and the unfinished hospital at Grace International to treat up to 30,000 individuals in the next three months. They have already sent in a large medical team, water filtration systems from Water Mission International, and a feeding program.
We need your help. Please prayerfully consider donating funds to the BUV Ministry and help us assist Bishop Jeune and other relief and long-term recovery organizations with the cost of the BUVs. Your prayers for the people in Haiti are obviously needed but if you are like us, you want to do something constructive as well. Please consider an online donation or mail a donation to help us manufacture some BUVs as soon as possible. Any amount can help with this mission. Collectively we all can be a part of the solution for a long-term blessing.
May all of these efforts bring glory to God as we seek to value each person made in the image of God, our Creator.
Thanks,
The BUV Team
